The maze-like town of Mykonos, with its hand-painted cobblestone streets among the white-washed greek architecture, is easy to fall in love with. With delicious local food and kind people, Mykonos is a little island you won’t want to leave.

Visit the Windmills
These are perhaps one of the most iconic landmarks of Mykonos! At the top, you’ll find a beautiful view of Little Venice and the Aegean Sea. Pro Tip: while everyone’s taking pictures in front of the Windmills, take photos from behind.

Eat at Kastro’s Restaurant
One of the most Instagrammed places in Mykonos, for a good reason! It has a beautiful view looking overlooking the ocean and a perfect view of the sunset.

Stay in an Instagram-worthy hotel
We stayed at the Carbonaki Hotel. It’s in a quieter area of Mykonos, yet steps away from all the bars, restaurants, and ocean. It’s beautifully designed and budget-friendly. For three of us, we paid $143 each for four nights!

Have the local staples
We loved Souvlaki Story and Sakis Grill House. A traditional Greek gyro and pita bread is a must-try!

Try the olive oil
While we learned that the majority of olive oil in Greece doesn’t come from Mykonos, we stumbled upon this cute shop, Savvas Mykonos, and tried some tasty olive oils! They had a ton of other authentic products and interesting goodies to bring home.
Watch the sunset in Little Venice
Little Venice is considered by many the best spot to watch the sunset, with the perfect view of the sun going down over the Aegean Sea.

Visit the Paraportiani Church
This lovely church consists of five churches built on top or next to each other, dating back to the 14th century.

Have dinner in Old Port
Our first night, we had a very fresh seafood dinner at Captain’s, and our last night, we ate at the trendy Raya.

Visit Paradise Beach
On the south side of the island, you’ll find the Mykonos party beach. You can take a bus directly from Mykonos town for a few euros. Many bars line the beach and crowds ready to party!
Try some greek yogurt
Ok, so despite its name, greek yogurt didn’t actually originate in Greece.. but it still tasted better than any greek yogurt I had in the states!

Get lost in the streets
Every turn in Mykonos is filled with beautiful architecture, cute shops, and tasty eateries. Wandering through the streets will lead you to photo-worthy streets and hidden gems!
